TENERIFE ISLAND CENTRE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
The Tenerife Island Centre of Photography was created on 30 November 1989 by the Island Council of Tenerife, in order to “promote aspects of artistic creation with enormous potential for contemporary expression, and to rescue and preserve our own heritage of images, which still remains dispersed and lacks sufficient preservation”. It is now under the direction of TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes.
The Tenerife Island Centre of Photography’s collection began 30 years ago and hasn’t stopped growing since. It is made up of two clearly distinct collections, one dedicated to documentary photography and another to artistic photography.Colección Centro de Fotografía Isla de Tenerife
